Weld-Tite is a steel piping system for condensate, low temperature hot water, or chilled water service.

Weld-Tite is an energy efficient piping system. The standard carrier pipe is Schedule 40 A53 steel, other grades of steel are available if specified. Insulation is a thermally efficient polyurethane foam with a ‘K’ factor of 0.16 at 70ºF. The heavy wall PVC or HDPE casing and heat resistant end seals prevent ground water infiltration.

Weld-Tite may be supplied with pre-insulated fittings. Pre-insulated fittings are produced with the same carrier, insulation, casing, and rubber end seals as the pre-insulated straight sections. Fittings may be uninsulated using welded steel left bare or insulated in the field with insulation kits if so specified.

Weld-Tite® Joint

The Weld-Tite joint is welded. Pipe joints shall be insulated using polyurethane shells, casing-tite (PVC or HDPE) sleeve and 30mil High Temperature tape.
