  • Schedule 40/80 or Standard/Extra Heavy Weight Carrier
  • Polyisocyanurate foam insulation for extended temperature service
  • Standard wall PVC or FRP casing
Weld-Tite is a steel piping system for condensate, low temperature hot water, or chilled water service. A FRP casing, with FRP field overwraps at joint locations, and polyisocyanurate foam insulation can be substituted when used for high temperature condensate and hot water up to temperatures of 350ºF and pressures of 150psi.

Weld-Tite is a top quality, energy efficient piping system. The standard carrier pipe is Schedule 40 A53 steel, other grades of steel are available if specified. Insulation is a thermally efficient polyurethane foam with a 'K' factor of 0.14 at 70ºF. The heavy wall PVC casing and heat resistant end seals prevent ground water infiltration.

Weld-Tite may be supplied with pre-insulated fittings. Pre-insulated fittings are produced with the same carrier, insulation, casing, and rubber end seals as the pre-insulated straight sections. Fittings may be uninsulated using welded steel left bare or insulated in the field with insulation kits if so specified.

Weld-Tite® Joint

Weld-Tite Joint

The Weld-Tite joint is welded. Pipe joints are insulated using polyurethane shells, casing-tite (PVC) sleeve and 30mil High Temperature tape.
